The University of Bridgeport, commonly referred to as UB, is a private, independent, non-sectarian, coeducational National university located on the Long Island Sound in the South End neighborhood of Bridgeport, Connecticut. The University is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC-CIHE).

Location

UB is located on the I-95 corridor just an hour from New York and two hours from Boston. UB is perfectly situated for easy access to local and tri-state area hot spots, dining entertainment.

Clubs and Activities

The University offers more than 50 active clubs and organizations, including co-ed intramural sports, fraternities and sororities.

Safe Campus

UB has received the prestigious Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Award and has been recognized for the school’s innovative Personal Alarm Locator (PAL) system. When activated PAL pinpoints a student’s location on campus allowing campus security to arrive in less than two minutes.
