State University of New York at Oswego, also known as SUNY Oswego and Oswego State, is a public college in the City of Oswego and Town of Oswego, in the U.S. state of New York, on the shore of Lake Ontario. It has two campuses: historic lakeside campus in Oswego and Metro Center in Syracuse, New York.
SUNY Oswego’s online MBA ranks highest in New York and 33rd nationally among online master of business administration programs, according to U.S News & World Report’s 2018 “Best Online Degree Programs: MBA.” The school was the only public college in New York to cract the list’s top 100 online graduate business programs, and leads all colleges and universities in New York on the list.
SUNY Oswego has a Global Awareness Conference (GAC) that gives students faculty, staff and members of community the opportunity to learn about other cultures and global issues as well as present on topics they are passionate about.
SUNY Oswego annually provides more than $6.5 million in merit-based scholarships and more than $84 million in need-based grants, loans and work-study awards to support student success at Oswego. Also, the school provides Destination Oswego Scholarship (merit-based) to non-New York state residents and international students.
SUNY Oswego was founded in 1861 as the Oswego Primary Teachers Training School by Edward Austin Sheldon, who introduced a revolutionary teaching methodology Oswego Movement in American education.
